Food in Disneyland Paris: The Best Restaurants And Eateries

What kind of food can you find in Disneyland Paris? Can you bring your meals inside the park? Is the food in Disneyland Paris expensive?

These and other questions are frequently asked when people are busy planning a Disneyland Paris trip. Since I had the tremendous chance to visit this magical world several times, I was able to test various restaurants and eateries in Disneyland Paris.

The food choices in Disneyland Paris range from little snacks on the grab, over fast-food, to all-you-can-eat buffets and proper 3-course menus in a more luxurious setting.

With more than 40 restaurants in Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park and an additional 27 in Disney Village, consisting of snack bars, ice parlours, bakeries and food trucks, don't fret. There is something to eat for everyone in Disneyland Paris.

So here's a handy little guide to navigating the food in Disneyland Paris, including a list of where to find the best restaurants and eateries.

Food is an intrinsic part of travelling, wherever you go. Be it amazing tapas in Barcelona, quirky restaurants in Cusco with incredible views, delicious and cheap Costa Rican food, or highly unusual and exotic French Polynesian Cuisine: tasting different flavours and spoiling my palate with all kinds of savoury dishes is a must.

Eating in Disneyland Paris isn't the same, though. Yes, you can find typical French cuisine in some of the restaurants, but given that most of the eateries are theme-related, you will experience a diverse mix of influences from all over the world.

Practical Things

Disneyland Paris consists of two distinct amusement parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, with an additional shopping and dining area called Disney Village right outside the main entrances.

Quick info - Disneyland Paris

Opening times:

  • Mon-Sun 9.30 am - 11.00 pm for Disneyland Park
  • Mon-Sun 9.30 am - 10.00 pm for Walt Disney Studios Park

Note: the opening times may vary depending on special events, shows, the weather or other circumstances like political unrest.

Plus: there is a possibility to enter both parks one hour earlier thanks to the Extra Magic Time granted when staying at one of the official Disney Hotels.

For detailed information on how to plan your visit, where to stay and what to experience, check out our complete guide here. You will find everything you need to know before heading to Disneyland Paris.

Especially since there are options for hotels if you don't want to stay at one of the expensive official hotels: there are some great alternatives such as the Hôtel L'Élysée Val d'Europe, the very affordable Campanile Val de France or the excellent Explorers Hotels Group including a Disney souvenir shop.

Due to their popularity, reservation is mandatory for the table-service restaurants (read below). The easiest way is by downloading the official Disneyland Paris app, where you can choose your timeslot.

This requires internet, which you might not have when visiting from outside Europe. I would also suggest getting an app called Airalo, which allows you to buy an e-sim with a specific amount of internet data at a very attractive price. We use it whenever we are abroad, allowing us to check and book everything on the go without seeing our phone bills explode.

Some of the restaurants listed here are outside the park. If you are visiting Disneyland Paris as part of a European road trip for example, you will have rented a car which you need to get to Crockett's Tavern, for example.

If you still need to rent one, use the platform Rentalcars for the best deals with all insurances included.

What Kind Of Food Is Available in Disneyland Paris?

The food choice in Disneyland Paris is considerable: even the most difficult eater will find something they like.

Starting with little snacks at every corner, hearty, sweet, and always with a lovely visual Disney touch: ham and cheese croque-monsieurs, waffles with all kinds of toppings, cake-pops in many variations and very original ice cream creations.

Then there are fast foods that, despite the name and concept, serve tasty dishes like burgers in the Café Hyperion or burritos at the newly opened Casa de Coco (read below) without losing too much time.

Next up, we have the table-service restaurants in Disneyland Paris. These are usually theme-specific and come with tastefully decorated rooms chock-full of quirky details, serving either fixed menus like in Walt's - An American Restaurant, but with enough choices, or a rich all-you-can-eat buffet like at the Agrabah Café.

Restaurant food comes with a price tag, but they serve delicious, freshly prepared meals mainly using regional ingredients, and the plates are a feast for your eyes every single time.

Can You Bring Your Own Meals Inside The Park?

Yes, you can bring your own food inside Disneyland Paris. There is no rule against it.

If you want to save money, that is something to consider. For example, there are even microwave ovens in every toilet station to heat baby food.

Carrying around a whole picnic can be tiresome, though. I would suggest that you mix getting snacks inside the park or a burger somewhere with home-bought snacks. Especially if you want to keep it healthy: fruit and vegetable snacks are scarce.

Also: bring lots of water. The number of kilometres walked throughout the day is much bigger than one might think. You want to steer clear of dehydration, especially on hot days. However, should this happen anyway, there is a little infirmary on the left side of the main entrance (when facing the park's exit) where you can get first aid from trained nurses.

Or you can just bring refillable bottles: unlike some of the other destinations we've been to like Jordan or Peru, tap water in France is safe to drink.

If you happen to travel with an inflammatory bowel disease like me, rest assured that there are plenty of clean toilets throughout the park. Even if you find a queue at one of them, the next one isn't far away and will probably have no people waiting at all.

Is Food in Disneyland Paris Expensive?

Generally, food in Disneyland Paris is quite expensive, depending on your preferences and choices. Europe isn't known for cheap food (except for some countries like Slovenia or Croatia) and France is no exception.

A hearty snack like the Croq' de la Savane in Frontierland can easily cost between 9 € and 11 €; a cake pop is currently not under 4,30 €.

A croque-monsieur in the form of Simba's drawing by Rafiki from the Lion King, the type of food one can find in Disneyland Paris

The Croq' de la Savane from the Cool Post, Frontierland

A three-course menu in a higher standard restaurant like Walt's is 55 € per adult, drinks excluded.

Other options might seem expensive, but if you are a good eater, it can be profitable: an all-you-can-eat buffet is 45 € per adult with one drink included. The buffet is enormous; you can easily eat for over 45 €.

Again: it's a good idea to bring your own snacks and limit restaurant time to only the best ones.

The Best Restaurants To Have Breakfast in Disneyland Paris & Disney Village

Annette's Diner in Disney Village

Located in Disney Village, right outside the main entrance, Annette's Diner is my favourite breakfast option - but only if I don't plan on using the Extra Magic Time to get inside the park earlier than the crowds because Annette's doesn't open before 9.30 am.

Plan this breakfast option on a day that you want to sleep in any way.

The American Breakfast is served between 9.30 am and 11.30 am, and it consists of only one option: two pancakes with maple syrup, two eggs whichever way (scrambled, sunny-side up), sausages, bacon, tomato beans, and toast, hash browns, grilled tomato and butter. It comes with a complimentary hot beverage and an orange or apple juice.

Table filled with American breakfast plates from Annette's Diner

The American Breakfast for 15 € at Annette's Diner

It's a big plate of food that will have you satiated until lunch, and it's only 15 € per person - in Disneyland Paris, that's quite the bargain.

It's the only breakfast option they serve, which is obviously not the best choice for vegetarians/vegans.

See here for the exact location of Annette's Diner in Disney Village.

Starbucks Coffee in Disney Village

This is my go-to when I'm short on time. Yes, you can get Starbucks anywhere in the world, so it's nothing special. But you always know what you get, and the choice of hot beverages and small, sweet, savoury breakfast snacks is large enough.

Plus: the prices are those of a regular Starbucks, so it's more cost-efficient than buying snacks inside the parks.

The Starbucks in Disney Village is open from 8 am until 11 pm, sometimes midnight - early enough for your wake-up coffee when heading for an early entry in the parks at 8.30 am and late enough for a nightcap after a long and exciting day.

Starbucks in Disney Village is located here.

L'Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland

Gone for some time, the "character breakfast" is back at the Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland, inside Disneyland Park.

It has a serious price tag: 60 € per adult and 40 € per child. The breakfast is out of the ordinary, though a big plate of hot breakfast with countless sweet and savoury pastries and little glasses filled with all kinds of delicacies.

Me (years ago) in front of Cinderella's carriage at L'Auberge de Cendrillon

It's not something you want to do every morning, but it's a great experience - especially for children, as they get to eat while at least three different princesses (never the same ones) go from table to table to have a little chat and photo moments with the guests.

L'Auberge de Cendrillon is located here.

Other Breakfast Options

These are only my favourites, but other restaurants in Disney Village and both parks offer breakfast too. Check the official app for more information.

Another option is to book the breakfast straight at your hotel, especially when staying in one of the official Disney hotels. Some of them, like the Newport Bay Club, for example, also offer character breakfast (more on that below).

The Best Restaurants For Lunch in Disneyland Paris

Good to know:

You can order a special birthday cake at every restaurant for 35 € (serves about eight people).

The staff brings the cake as a group to your table while singing for the celebrated one.

Here are some of my favourite restaurants for lunch and dinner in Disneyland Paris:

Hyperion Café in Discoveryland

We always go to the Hyperion Café for lunch when we try to maximise our time spent in the park: it's quick, there is always a place to sit inside the vast hangar, and the burgers are pretty tasty.

Hyperion Café serves burgers of all sorts, meat, chicken, cheese, fish and vegetarian options, with fries and other snacks on the side.

It's a fast-food place, but a good one.

Plus: you might catch a show from time to time: there is a stage down in the middle where characters - usually from the Star Wars Universe - sometimes appear for a little play and photo time. Here again: check the app for current events.

A cheeseburger with fries and a drink is approximately 16 € and you can find the Café Hyperion here.

Casa De Coco - Restaurante De Família, Frontierland

La Casa De Coco just got a total makeover: it used to be called Fuente del Oro, representing a typical Wild West Mexican-style restaurant.

But in July 2023, they revamped the place to set it in the Coco movie theme with Miguel's family portraits hanging from every wall, Día De Muertos decorations (it used to be like that only around Halloween), various shoes made by the family on display and even Héctor's guitar that the evil Ernesto de la Cruz had stolen.

Casa De Coco has two dining spaces, the Sala de Música and Sala de Família, and serves Tex Mex food in the form of delicious freshly prepared burritos (vegetarian and vegan available) with "ziggy" fries or Doritos, salads and snacks like churros.

Sure, the food isn't authentic Mexican but after having spent Día De Muertos in Guanajuato, Mexico, I can say that at least the decorations are spot on!

A burrito is around 12 €, and Casa De Coco is located here.

Restaurant Hakuna Matata in Adventureland

For another fast yet tasty option, head to the Restaurant Hakuna Matata in Adventureland, where they serve Africa-inspired food like chakalaka with rice, pulled pork sandwiches with sweet potato fries and various snacks, all accompanied by the sound of drums.

Again, nothing spectacular foodwise and it might not exactly be like the food I tasted in Namibia, but a good and filling option to save time nonetheless.

Hakuna Matata Restaurant can be found here.

Stark Factory in Avengers Campus, Walt Disney Studios Park

Here's a fast option for lunch on the other park, Walt Disney Studios: Stark Factory, where you will find pizza, pasta, and vegetarian bowls.

Like Hyperion Café, there is a vast seating area, so you won't have to eat your food outdoors. It can get crowded at noon when it rains, though.

Peggy Carter's Bureau inside of Stark Factory, one of the places to get food in Disneyland Paris

Peggy Carter's bureau inside of Stark Factory

Don't miss the fun details like the colossal Iron Man Hulkbuster at the entrance or Peggy Carter's neatly arranged bureau when going all the way to the back.

Like all the food inside Disneyland Paris' parks, it's not cheap: one (though rather large) piece of pizza is 14 €.

Stark Factory is located here, at the very end of the Avengers Campus.

The Best Restaurants For Lunch Or Dinner inside the parks

PYM Kitchen in Avengers Campus, Walt Disney Studios Park

Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Disneyland Paris: PYM Kitchen.

The concept? A huge all-you-can-eat buffet with an enormous amount of food choices reflects the theme of the PYM particle, meaning everything is either in mini-portion or giant size.

Inside the entrance of PYM Kitchen with tables left and right of the main alley and cooks behind the buffet

Step inside the wondrous world of PYM Kitchen

For 45 € including one drink per adult and 25 € per child, you get such an enormous choice of delicious food ranging from fresh salads and healthy entrees, over hot dogs, burgers, stir-fries, corn dogs, and fish dishes, to the most sinful deserts in all shapes and colours.

Ensure you are almost starving, and the 45 € will feel like an absolute bargain.

Example of food in Disneyland Paris: a plate full of mini corn dog, burger, vegetables, blue mayonnaise, etc. from PYM Kitchen

A mix of the kind of food available at PYM Kitchen

The details again are incredible (drinks served in test tubes), and you get a complimentary pretzel with every meal.

PYM Kitchen can be found here.

Restaurant Agrabah Café in Adventureland

Agrabah Café, an Aladdin-inspired restaurant which strongly reminded me of getting lost in the souks of Marakkesh or our dinners the bedouin camp in Wadi Rum, another all-you-can-eat buffet at 40 € per adult and 22 € per child, one drink included, awaits.

Different kinds of add-ons at Agrabah Café during the pandemic, when it was a menu instead of the all-you-can-eat buffet

This time, the food served comes in the form of hummus with naan bread, couscous with sausages and chicken, falafels, spicy samosas and the sweetest baklava, all in a colourful setting with the possibility of spotting Aladdin himself if you're lucky - Abu, Iago, and Rajah are there too.

They also have vegetarian and vegan options.

Find Agrabah Café hidden at Adventureland's entrance here.

Captain Jack's - Pirate's Restaurant in Adventureland

I have to admit, Captain Jack's is one of the few I haven't tried yet - and I genuinely regret it because I heard so many good things about it.

Every time I do the Pirates of the Caribbean ride (and that happens on every Disneyland visit), I get a tiny bit jealous of the people sitting there in this eerie yet romantic atmosphere, enjoying delicious Creole, Caribbean and tropical food while our boots float by.

Having travelled to Costa Rica's Caribbean side and spent Christmas and New Year's in the Dominican Republic, we have had our fair share of Caribbean food to be able to compare. And our trip on the Réunion Island counts for the Creole part.

Look for the galleon to find Captain Jack's Pirate Restaurant

The unique thing about this restaurant? It is literally inside an attraction, in a semi-sombre pirate's den setting, lit up by old-fashioned lanterns, surrounded by water. Unlike most other restaurants in Disneyland Paris, this one has an open menu with a wide choice of entrees, mains and desserts.

You can also opt for a fixed menu at 45 € per adult (drink excluded) or 25 € per child (drink included); vegan and vegetarian options are available.

Find Captain Jack's Restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction here.

Walt's - An American Restaurant on Mainstreet, USA

Walt's - An American Restaurant undoubtedly has the best location: it's set on the first floor of several charming facades on Mainstreet, USA. It's also the best-rated one on Google and one of my absolute favourite restaurants in Disneyland Paris.

Even if you don't plan on eating here, get inside the lobby to check out the numerous details related to Walt's life: family pictures, items that are a homage to the era he lived in, quotes, and a gorgeous early 19th-century lift.

The entrance of Walt's - An American Restaurant

The food is delicious, very sophisticated American cuisine with European influences, and the decor varies from one building to the next, representing the five different worlds in Disneyland Paris. Plus: I would buy the entire dinnerware if possible - it's sublime.

Delicious desserts served on magnificent plates

There is only one menu, the "Walt's", at 55 € per adult (drinks excluded) and another one called "Steamboat Willy" for kids, 30 € with a drink. The menu has one vegan option for each course.

Good to know:

This restaurant, along with some others, offers what they call the "Disney Check Menu", meaning a healthier version of a kid's menu containing more vegetables and fruit and less saturated fats.

Find Walt's - An American Restaurant, here.

Bistrot Chez Rémy in Worlds of Pixar, Walt Disney Studios Park

Bistrot Chez Rémy is by far the most charming restaurant in the area.

Suppose you are familiar with the movie Ratatouille. In that case, you will quickly recognise at first glance that the interior is meant to be seen from the rat's perspective: oversized fairy lights, chairs made of giant champagne bottle stoppers, jam jar lids as tables and cutlery used as lam-posts - the cutest setting.

The restaurant's exterior is also an eyecatcher: a trompe-l'oeil facade in a fictive "Parisian" square.

Outside of Bistrot Chez Rémy in the Worlds of Pixar part in Walt Disney Studio Park

Beautiful "Parisian" square and Bistrot Chez Rémy

Naturally, the food is typically French, with a choice of two different menus for adults, either for 40 € per adult ("Menu Rémy" starter and main) or 55 € ("Menu Émile" starter, main, dessert) with a choice of at least four to five dishes for each course.

Children have a special "Little Chef" Menu for 30 €, drinks included.

Here too, vegan and vegetarian options are available, as well as the healthier "Disney Check Menu" for kids.

Another favourite if you ask me.

Bistrot Chez Rémy is located here.

The Best Restaurants For Dinner in Disney Village And Surroundings

Crockett's Tavern at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch

Even though this is a restaurant belonging to one of the Disney Hotels outside the parks, I wanted to list it here as it's also an all-you-can-eat buffet option worth trying out (it might be a bit far away when you're not staying here).

The buffet is lined with salads, Tex Mex specialities and lots of fish dishes - vegetarian and vegan options available as well - for 35 € per adult and 22 € per child, with, as always, one drink included.

Disney hotel Davy Crockett's Ranch seen from the main entrance alleyway

Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch with the Crockett's Tavern on the left

The particularity here is that the buffet converts into a giant outdoor barbecue festival during summer.

Unlike PYM Kitchen or Agrabah Café, the buffet is only served in the evenings from 6.00 pm until 10.00 pm; hence I'm listing it under the dinner options.

Crockett's Tavern is located about 10 to 15 min by car from the main park entrance; find it here.

Rainforest Café in Disney Village

Rainforest Café is not your typical restaurant, and it's not even Disney-related, but it fits the general fantasy concept of the parks.

In the Rainforest Café, you dive into an insane jungle filled with screeching birds, elephants trumpeting and gorillas banging their chests. At some point, you might hear thunderclaps, making all the (mechatronic animals go crazy simultaneously).

It's a favourite among families with children but also adults young at heart.

The food theme is a mix of South-West American dishes, with fish, poultry, fajitas, burgers, and so on. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, and they even have a souvenir shop.

Find the Rainforest Café in the Disney Village here.

Where To Find The Best Snacks in Disneyland Paris

What kind of snacks can you find in Disneyland Paris?

Well, snacks vary according to season, but there is one consistent element: they always have some Disney-themed decoration or topping.

Here's a listing of the best snack places in Disneyland Paris, both parks:

  • Boardwalk Candy Palace, Mainstreet, USA: it's not listed under restaurant on the Disneyland website, but they have the yummiest cake-pops, cookies and fudges; sold along with all kinds of sweet treats and souvenirs here.
  • Cable Car Bake Shop, Mainstreet, USA: Cupcakes with Kiri-cheese filling, pineapple whip, Mickey-shaped hearty sandwiches, doughnuts and giant cookies are a few of the delicate pastries you can find here.
  • Casey's Corner, Mainstreet, USA: this very vintage-looking fast food restaurant serves four kinds of hot dogs and baseball-shaped ice cream; due to the location, it's perfect for a late night snack right before watching the incredible show on the castle. Find it here.
  • Cool Post, Frontierland: waffles, ice cream, the "Croq' de la Savane" or a chocolate cake pop in the form of a lion's paw - that's the Cool Post, the African bush-theed little eatery in Frontierlandthat you can find here.
  • March Hare Refreshments, Fantasyland: the perfect stop for a hot coffee, cocoa or Alice-themed tea, accompanied by the most original ice cream creations ('Won'Door-land" with brownies and caramelised hazelnuts is a must). Plus, you can even celebrate your unbirthday here!
  • Victoria's Home-Style Restaurant, Mainstreet, USA: this is where you come for the best milkshakes, but first and foremost for "Minnie's Festival of Sweets", a selection of three (7,50 €) or five (12 €) fancy and delicious treats you won't find anywhere else in the parks; it's located here.

Last Thoughts On The Food in Disneyland Paris

This was a round-up of my favourite restaurants and eateries in Disneyland Paris, comprising both parks and Disney Village. As I mentioned in the beginning, this is only a selection of more than 60 food places in this magical world, and choosing will be quite difficult.

But I think it's fairly safe to say from this short-list alone that there is something to eat for anyone.

Granted, food is always a question of personal taste - so feel free to eat your way through the parks and come back to me with more suggestions. I'm not done eating there myself.

Reminder:

Don't forget to book your table for the restaurants through the official Disneyland Paris-app!

I hope this (not so) short list of the best restaurants and eateries in Disneyland Paris will be of use, and feel free to comment with more suggestions or personal opinions.

Also, please pin and share this post for others to see and support us.

As ever,
